represents the work of two artists – Peter Simpson (Sculptor)
and Amanda Wood (Landscape Artist). Both artists worked and
taught in the UK for many years before making the move to the
Charente Maritime in South-West France. This site includes galleries
of images, biographical details, written work relating to 'the
projects' which are often the inspiration for many of the images
and information about up and coming events and exhibitions.
The site also has a section dedicated to The Garden at La Bourgeade
in which have been installed many of Peter Simpson's sculptures
and which has also provided the inspiration for a large series
of works by Amanda Wood.
The Studio is situated at La Bourgeade, Champagnolles
which is approximately 100 Kms to the north of Bordeaux and
25 Kms from the departmental capital, Saintes. Access from the
UK is via the airports of La Rochelle or Merignac, Bordeaux
or via TGV to Angouleme, Bordeaux or La Rochelle.
